Midnight Snack & Chat

We shouldn't have done this but oh well. Last night Ryan and I painted one of the rooms in the basement. We're almost ready for carpet! I'll take more pictures and get them posted, but for now, this little story. We stayed up till midnight painting, looking at carpet samples and then finally gave up and went to bed. But before we headed up the stairs, yes we enjoyed a midnight snack. CHIPS and SALSA, don't you love chips and salsa??? I DO! One of my favorite snacks. So we took it up to bed and Ryan spilled salsa all over the bedspread. All those times your mom said no food in bed, well that's why.
Then as we sat there and enjoyed our eats we started talking about American Idol.
Here's the conclusion we've come to. We don't like American Idol this season. I know, say what you will but I'm in favor of last season. I'm not a Taylor Hicks fan, but I loved Katherine McPhee, Chris Daughtry, Kelli Pickler, and Paris Bennett.
I always think back to previous seasons and out of all the winners only two have actually amounted to something, well that I've noticed. Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. All the other winners, well I really haven't heard much. I found that most of the runner ups and other contestants have actually recorded a CD. I bet Taylor Hicks has a CD out, but where and when? What about Clay Aiken, he wasn't the winner and he's gone far. Two of the best examples is Jennifer Hudson, DREAM GIRLS and ACADEMY AWARD WINNER! Carrie Underwood was the "American Idol" and won a Grammy!
So there are my thoughts on American Idol. My opinion still stands.
