So before I started "eating right" I didn't think I needed to do anything besides exercise to get the weight off from baby number two. But unfortunely it would take a lot more than that to get the baby weight off. I've been meaning to post this blog for awhile because I think a lot of people could benefit from my info and how I was able to loose the weight and inches.
Find out what modivates you-
For me it was a few things. I bought Womans one a day weight control multivitiman, not sure if it really helps you loose weight but I know it supports your body with essential vitimans and minirals to help you during dieting. Also I bought Lean Cusines, they can be high is sodium so I wouldn't eat them all the time, but again a modivating factor. Also for me those 100 Cal packs are good for a quick snack. Then last but not least having healthy snacks to eat...Fruits and Veggies!
Be cofindent in yourself
You need to find strength in yourself to do this. You can do it. Look at your before picture, do you always want to look like a before picture? Its not about everyone else around you its about how you feel about yourself. Is where your at now healthy?
Exercise each day
This gives you energy and the more you exercise the more energy you will have. I do something at least everyday except Sundays. You don't have to do a 2 hour workout each day. Sometimes I only have time to workout for 20 minutes BUT I worked out! Videos I like are Slim in 6, Turbo Jam, Winsor Pilates and Power 90. I also run twice a week, which I enjoy with good IPOD music! I've also been a member of Curves for quite sometime and love it there! Its really nice to have a place to go that makes you feel good about yourself. They also weight and measure you each month to track your progress. I can only get there twice a week, but one day a week I hire a babysitter to come after school so I can get it down and then I wake up early once a week to get there and done before my DH goes to work.
Eat Healthy
If you have a hard time eating well, then take the crappy food out of your house! If you know my family we have a SWEET TOOTH! And it doesn't get easier when your DH makes yummy cookies and brownies once a week! So if you feeling snacky, grab the carrots! Thats my snacky food, it gets my mouth tired of chewing and my snack attack disappears!
I count calories everyday. Now I'm not saying I "perfect" at it everyday BUT the first couple months I was pretty sitrict. To find out how many calories to consume to reach your goal you can go here. I also told myself that fruits and veggies are ZERO calories, those are things you need to eat!
Drink LOTS of water (that pretty much explains itself)
Here's a few meal ideas that are low in calories!
Breakfast- 1 egg (80 cal)
1 piece of whole wheat toast w/ a little bit of butter (90 cal)
Lowfat yogurt (100 cal)
1 cup of juice (120 cal)
Banana (0 cal)
Lunch
1 wheat tortilla (150 cal)
1 serving lunch meat (60 cal)
1 tbsp Ranch (55 cal, depending on brand)
*add lots of veggies like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers ( 0 Cal)
Dinner: Since I make dinner for my family I tend to just watch my portions
Snacks: 100 cal packs, lots of fruits and veggies, peaches w/ cottage cheese, cheese stick, granola bar.... Make sure to get protien with your snacks and eat every two hours to speed up your metabolism!
Don't deprive youself. That slows your metabolism and your weight loss!
