Seattle

This past week we took a trip to Seattle! 5 whole days for me just to be me, not mom. After having Ryan gone for 2 weeks I needed it! We had a great time! The first evening there we just got our rooms and went out to eat. The following day we went downtown to Pikes Place and saw the fish throwers, walked around the farmers market and the harbour. We also stopped at "the Old Curiosity Shop." STRANGE place, it had mummy's, two headed deer calf and lots of other trinkets.... There was also this old pipe organ outside. We put in some quarters in that and that THING was so LOUD. I guess they used them in the circus back in the day so it needed to be loud enough over all the noise.
That evening we went to a movie and dinner and shopped around the mall.

Friday we spent at the Botanical gardens and the Locks. That was really cool to see and on the other side was the fish ladder where the salmon migrate upstream.

Saturday we went go cart racing and had lunch at Ruby's Diner. That evening was the wedding dinner for Ryan's cousin Bonnie. It was just at a Italian place that was really yummy.

Sunday we went to the Museum of Flight and then headed to this castle for the wedding. It reminded me of the secret garden, it was really cool. Then it was time to come home. We had a good, relaxing, and fattening trip! Enjoy the pictures.

Mr. Responsible

We came home from the park and I asked Lucas to take off his shoes and also to help Harry take his off too. After putting the boys down for naps I started to straighten the house up and I come to find that Luc did something so cute. He always lines up his shoes next to the door but when I looked down I found this.....Not only did he line them up he put the socks in the shoes. He's getting so helpful and responsible. He also made sure to hang up our jackets. Love it!

It looks like you had an awesome trip!!! I'm glad you had fun. It's important to be able to get time away from the kiddies. Let's play this week!
